Product Description :

Targus DEFCON 1 (Notebook Security Alarm) wpe52.jpg (2963 bytes)

With the Targus pocket-size DEFCON 1 on guard, you can relax in airports, restaurants, and other public places. DEFCON 1 is also a great protection device for your laptop or briefcase in lobbies and offices.  It's the only system that combines stainless steel cable with motion sensor technology to create a combination locking system that easily attaches to your notebook or carrying case. If someone tries to steal your case or cuts the cable, a 110 decibel alarm will sound to let you and everyone else know that DEFCON 1 is on alert.

Protecting your laptop or your briefcase has never been easier:

Step 1 :   Dial the Combination.
Step 2 :
Extend and Wrap the Cable as Desired
Step 3 :
Connect the end of the Cable back into the DEFCON Locking Port
Step 4 :
Alarm will sound a "beep" to confirm that it is "armed"
Step 5 :
Cut or play with the cable and the alarm will sound
Step 6 :
Nothing to anchor? Turn on the Motion Detector alarm, and alarm will sound when the DEFCON is moved.

The DEFCON 1 allows you to reset your combination, and it provides 2 levels of Motion Sensor Sensitivity.

Turning off the alarm is easy.
The alarm is turned off when the combination is dialed in correctly, and the red release button is pushed: Do not misplace or lose your DEFCON 1 combination. The locking security of the unit can not be bypassed. The warranty does not cover replacement due to lost combinations. Due to the secure design of the unit there is no "magic" resetting feature that can be done. If you do lose your combination, the only way to disengage the DEFCON 1 is to activate the alarm.
